On April 1, 2026, the three-day World Irrgation Technology Conference&China International Irrigation Technology Exhibition 2026 successfully concluded at the China National Convention Center in Beijing. Approved by the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China and certified by the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry (UFI), the expo was themed “A Global Feast of Smart Agriculture and Technological Exploration”, building a highly efficient and practical international cooperation platform for global water-saving irrigation and smart agriculture. With an exhibition area of 30,000 square meters, it ranks among the world’s top three irrigation expos and leads the globe in scale among similar events. It brought together more than 800 industry-leading enterprises from 33 countries and regions, as well as visiting and purchasing delegations from over 60 countries and regions. Over 100 new technologies and products in the irrigation sector made their debuts, with professional visitors gathering for exchanges, fully highlighting the expo’s value as a global platform for agricultural technology connectivity. World Irrigation Technology Conference Themed Forum During the exhibition, a series of high-profile conferences were held concurrently, including the World Irrigation Technology Conference, CDA 2026 Beijing International Digital Agriculture Conference, and 2026 Modern Facility Agriculture Conference. Distinguished dignitaries and industry experts delivered keynote speeches focusing on high-standard farmland development, water‑saving progress, and fostering new quality productive forces. In parallel, an industrial consortium was launched, technical specifications and major scientific research achievements were released, and a special session on China‑Russia agricultural cooperation was convened, providing targeted empowerment for the high‑quality development of the sector. CDA 2026 Beijing International Digital Agriculture Conference 2026 Modern Facility Agriculture Conference World-renowned enterprises including Hunter, Rain Bird, Core, Irritrol from the United States, Amit, Netafim from Israel, and Dosatron from France, together with leading domestic enterprises such as Tianye, Eurostandard, Huawei, Lesso, Runxin, Water Wing, Starlink Cloud Technology, Zhongzhitian, Xinjie, Alsace, Newcapec, exhibited side by side. They showcased cutting-edge technologies and independently developed achievements including intelligent irrigation systems, digital twin irrigation areas, and agricultural robots, covering core sectors such as irrigation systems, smart agriculture, protected agriculture, and irrigation area renovation. In line with the guiding principles of the No.1 Central Document, these innovations help foster new quality productive forces in agriculture. During the exhibition, the organizing committee conducted follow-up interviews with participating enterprises. Renowned brands including Core, Irritrol, and Nelson from the United States spoke highly of this edition of the expo. Mr. Pan, representative of Core USA, mentioned that the exhibition not only enabled reunions with long-term cooperative buyers but also facilitated successful connections with numerous new clients. The brand has evolved from being widely known to building closer familiarity, with a steady rise in on-site inquiries. Mr. Yang from Irritrol stated that the exhibition saw a notable increase in international merchants, whose products gained thorough understanding and attention from overseas customers. He also expressed great anticipation for more opportunities and surprises at next year’s event. Mr. Bai, representative of Nelson, commented that the exhibition effectively helped the company explore the international market and provided an excellent platform for in-depth negotiations and practical cooperation with clients from Central Asia. The number of international procurement delegations and domestic professional buyers continued to grow throughout the event. Merchants from various countries could be seen everywhere, with a constant stream of international visitors. Booths were bustling with negotiations, inquiries and business matchmaking. As core commercial activities, the Global Buyers Matchmaking Conference and the China-Russia International Special Promotion Conference on Agricultural Irrigation Systems efficiently connected global resources. International buyers from more than 60 countries and regions, including Russia, the United States and Germany, attended for business negotiations. A dedicated matchmaking area was set up to realize one-on-one precise pairing. These events not only successfully facilitated intended procurement cooperation between nearly 200 domestic and foreign enterprises, but also enabled a large number of exhibitors to reach cooperation consensus and sign key project intentions with overseas buyers on site while showcasing their core technologies and innovative achievements. This effectively helped enterprises explore the international market and access high-quality global resources. Numerous visitors and exhibitors highly recognized the exhibition’s scale and industrial influence, and made on-site inquiries to express their intention to participate in 2027.
