World Irrgation Technology Conference Opens in Beijing Shaping the Smart Future of Global Irrigation

Against the backdrop of the inaugural year of the 15th Five-Year Plan, World Irrgation Technology Conference&China International Irrigation Technology Exhibition 2026 was grandly held at the China National Convention Center in Beijing from March 30 to April 1, 2026. The event aims to further consolidate the water conservancy foundation for national food security, address the challenges of efficient water resource utilization, and advance the in-depth integration of water-saving and efficiency-enhancing agricultural practices with smart agricultural technologies.

Concurrently staged were the 12th Beijing International Smart Agriculture Expo, the 4th Beijing International Water Conservancy Technology Expo, and the Beijing International Modern Facility Agriculture Expo.

With the four exhibitions held in conjunction, the event covers a total exhibition area of 30,000 square meters. It brings together over 800 leading enterprises from more than 30 countries and regions, and attracts over 35,000 professional visitors for on-site visits, exchanges and business negotiations.

It has built an international core platform for the global irrigation industry integrating technology exhibition, academic exchange, business matchmaking and industrial cooperation.

On the opening day, the venue was crowded with professional visitors, and the atmosphere for business negotiations was vibrant, fully demonstrating the exhibition's value as a platform for promoting global agricultural technology connectivity.

They gained an in-depth understanding of the new technologies and achievements in smart irrigation, modern facility agriculture, digital agriculture and other fields. They spoke highly of the exhibition’s organization and industrial influence, and expressed high expectations for further upgrading irrigation technologies and equipment, as well as promoting high-quality development in the irrigation sector.

This edition of the expo leveraged targeted promotion on overseas social media, covering more than 60 countries and regions worldwide, and extensively reached government agricultural departments, research institutions, and agribusinesses.

International buyers from over 60 countries and regions, together with dignitaries and representatives of international organizations including Alexey Sitnikov, Chairman of the Russian Greenhouse Association; Nebiyu Mohammed Bogale, Minister at the Embassy of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia in China; and Carlos Aldeco, Representative of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations in China, gathered at the event for precise matchmaking with exhibitors.

The venue was filled with enthusiastic negotiations, and a number of preliminary cooperation intentions were reached, fully demonstrating the expo’s magnetic attraction and international influence as a global business hub for irrigation and agricultural science and technology.

International Zone：Global renowned enterprises including Hunter, Rain Bird, K-Rain, Plastro and others unveiled their new products, attracting a continuous stream of inquiries and business negotiations.

Domestic Zone：Leading enterprises such as Tianye, Eurostandard, Huawei, Lesso, Runxin, Water Wing, Starlink Cloud Technology, Zhongzhitian, Xinjie, Alsace, Newcapec displayed their independently developed achievements including smart irrigation systems, drawing lots of professional visitors. Digital twin irrigation districts enable precise water control and distribution, while a variety of agricultural robots in the protected agriculture zone became the center of attention.

On the opening day of the expo, a series of conferences were held concurrently.The Irrigation Forum delivered in-depth interpretations on key topics including the development of high-standard farmland, water-saving progress, and the cultivation of new-quality productive forces, providing strategic support for industrial development.The Digital Agriculture Conference launched an industrial consortium, released technical specifications, and advanced the standardization of smart agricultural equipment.
